Services U.S. Waterproofing Does NOT Provide
U.S. Waterproofing has helped thousands of customers since 1957. In that time we’ve gained a reputation as experts in basement waterproofing and structural foundation repair. As much as we want to be helpful, we have to keep our energies focused on satisfying our customers within our Chicagoland service area and staying within our areas of expertise. So here is a guide to services we don’t provide:
ROOFING Though it is possible water can infiltrate a roof and travel down walls to appear in the basement, we only work on sources of foundation seepage that originate at grade level or below.
TUCKPOINTING / CAULKING Another possible source for water intrusion is gaps in above grade brick mortar as well as gaps around windows and doors. Typically you would want to consult a reputable tuckpointing / masonry contractor.
PLUMBING A large source of water leaks in buildings is caused by plumbing supply and drain systems. These systems are originally designed and installed by licensed plumbers, and for that reason those experts should be consulted when repairs are needed.
MOLD REMEDIATION While mold is often caused by leaks in a foundation, we do not offer mold removal or remediation as this is an entirely different industry that requires special equipment and training.
WATER / FLOOD / INSURANCE RESTORATION While basement waterproofing is not typically covered by your homeowner’s insurance, some things are commonly covered such as water heater failure. Consult your insurance company for coverage and limitations.
