Our Fast Track Interior Drainage System is a great solution for controlling both wall and cove seepage (where the floor and wall meet). Fast Track is installed atop the footing (the widened concrete base that the foundation walls rest on) so it is less invasive, less disruptive and more economical than a traditional Interior Drain Tile System.

What is a Fast Track Interior Drainage System?

Fast Track is a maintenance free system that collects water in a perforated drainage pipe using slits to allow the water in and filter out dirt and debris. This system is connected to a sump pump which collects and discharges the water harmlessly away from the building.

How is a Fast Track Interior Drainage System installed?

We first remove a small section (typically 6 to 8 inches wide) of the concrete floor along the length of the wall, exposing the top of the foundation’s footing. The Fast Track channel is then placed atop the footing against the foundation wall. Our exclusive Hollow Cove Molding (an L- shaped vinyl baseboard) sits on top of the Fast Track channel. The Hollow Cove Molding is essential for capturing seepage through the foundation wall above. Washed stone is used to fill the void next to the Fast Track so the floor can be patched with concrete.

During the installation process the Fast Track system is connected to your sump pump. While many homes are equipped with a sump pump that can handle this additional water, some are not. Does Fast Track Interior Drainage System work with block foundations?

Concrete block foundations are porous in nature and have mortar joints that will crack over time. These conditions allow water to easily seep into the hollows of the block wall and into your crawl space or basement. During the installation process, weep holes are drilled at the bottom of the wall and into the hollows of the blocks. This allows the water to escape the wall and flow freely into the Fast Track Interior Drainage System.

Does Fast Track Interior Drainage System work with stone or bricks foundations?

Stone and brick foundations don’t often have a conventional footing that you would find with a poured concrete or block foundation. As a result, it can limit our ability to install the system atop the footing, which is our preferred location.
